Hiking, cycling and e-biking on the Rossbrand

The Rossbrand is an impressive mountain on the north-eastern edge of the Salzburg Slate Alps. At an altitude of 1,768 metres, it offers a breathtaking 360° panorama of almost 150 Alpine peaks, including the imposing Dachstein and the striking Gosaukamm with the Bischofsmütze. The Rossbrand stretches from the northern slopes, which belong to the municipality of Filzmoos, to the southern side, which lies in the municipality of Radstadt, and offers an unrivalled view. The mountain is a popular destination for hikers and mountain bikers, as it is easily accessible from Radstadt and Filzmoos via numerous hiking trails and paths. There is also the Rossbrand road from Radstadt and the Papageno cable car from Filzmoos, which make it easy to get there.
