The balloon weeks have a long tradition in Filzmoos. Over the years, Filzmoos has developed into Austria's ballooning village and is the venue for various national and international competitions and also attracts thousands of visitors.
The Night of the Balloons in particular is a unique experience.

Interesting facts about ballooning
In winter, Filzmoos offers the best conditions for alpine balloon flights with its snow-covered landscape and stable weather conditions.
It is advisable to dress in layers to cope comfortably with the changing temperature during the journey. A windproof jacket, sturdy shoes and a hat are particularly important, as it can be cooler at altitude.
